It’s heart-breaking and complicated most of the times yet do we need it at all? I think that we love because we don't like to be alone and we need somebody to be with. Also we love because we have procreate to maintain the human race.

About the second question, I don't think that we need it at all but it's something natural, you start dating with a girl and by the time the feels get stronger and that's how the love burns. So, in summary we don’t' need it but at certain age it's good I think.
