Dear UN Human Rights Committee,
I write you to talk about one of the most important rights in my opinion: freedom of expression.
This right is basic in our society and nowadays there still existing counties without it, lots of countries. But apart from that, the countries that have it, are already condemning people to jail to say some things that the government don’t like.
So I want to communicate you that you must have to do the much as you can to defend that human right starting from the regions that don't have it but never forgetting the other ones that have it theoretically but then in practice they not.
To conclude, I want to apologize for my apparently aggressive aptitude but in my opinion, the base of any society is the freedom of expression, without it, we are toys from the government, we cannot express what we want, so do the much as you can please.

Sincerely,

Àlex Cifuentes

Letter to my chinese family - selectivity writting

Dear family,
As you know I'm living in Catalonia and here, the things are very different.
First of all I want to say that I miss you a lot but I have to admit that Catalonia is a very nice place to live. Here the habits are not like in China, especially the study habits that are the ones which I know better because of the career.
Here the education system is very basic if we compare it to China because the amount of work is too less.
Anyway I agree with that system because in China they almost ruined student’s life due to the big amounts of work that they have, but here you can be more free and spend your free time on whatever you want.

In summary I feel comfortable here in Catalonia but in some aspects like the language, and the way to act in front of the people, I'm still adapting myself to the system.

Labor explotation in Spain - selectivity writting

The labour exploitation is a thing that exists in every single country.
In the case of Spain, as you know it's a country that has a lot of immigration who is searching for a job.
So the fact is that we offer them different jobs but in the most of cases they have ridiculous salaries and work conditions are too bad.
Now is difficult to stop it because they all win, the companies spend little quantities of money and immigrants get sufficient money to survive, but the point is that they didn't do anything to be treated in that conditions, they will be equal than Spanish people and have the same rights.

In summary we must try to change the situation and be more respectful with immigrant people because they don't deserve this type of treatment.

Nomophobia - selectitivty writting

Me: I can't believe it Troy! Again with your Smartphone? You are addicted to it.
Troy: Oh sorry Àlex, I'm just answering a message, hang on a second, I will let leave the phone right now.
Me: Please Troy... you always say the same and then you still with it all the time. I’m sure that you suffer nomophobia.
Troy: It's hard to accept it but may be right, you are not the first person who tells me that. But, anyway I can't stop it, is an addiction. What can I do to solve my problem?
Me: Well... the first step is to accept it, and then you must try to let the smartphone away from you during some hours of the day. Put limitations to yourself and you will success faster.

Troy: Thank you a lot for that suggestions Àlex, I will do that. See you soon.

Internet has changed our lives - selectivity writting

Some years ago life was very different without internet. Internet has completely changed our lives, and that has good and bad parts.
Something from the good ones, we have big amounts of information in our pockets because using the mobile phone we can found whatever we want.
On the other hand, before of the invention of internet, people used to meet each other more frequently.

So as I said it has their good and bad parts but I think it's positive.

Erasmus Catalan student - selectivity writting

Hello classmates, last day the professor ask me to explain you about the Catalan culture. So I take that offer and today I'm going to talk you about it.
To start, Catalonia is an autonomous community of Spain but anyway they have very different cultures.
In Catalonia we speak our own language that is named "Catalan", we have our own government, our police... there are lots of things separated from Spain.
Apart from that, Catalonia has a special gastronomy and dishes like: pà amb tomàquet, fuet...; and some traditions like: castellers, cagar el tió, sardanes...
In summary it's a very beautiful place to live and there are more typical things that I didn't told you that ones are the more important.
